6 Reasons Chris Pronger Is the Best Captain in the NHL

Chris Pronger is one of those rare breed of NHL players that fans love to hate. In March of this year The Hockey News had Pronger in a fourth place tie (with Todd Bertuzzi) as the NHL’s most hated player. The Flyers current captain trailed only Matt Cooke, Patrick Kaleta and Sean Avery.

There are a number of reasons why a team would want Chris Pronger as their captain, what follows are those reasons.
