Jonathan Quick Sets Records in Los Angeles Kings Victory over Dallas
Jonathan Quick has set two records tonight for the Los Angeles Kings. Quick now claims the team record for consecutive scoreless minutes with 184 minutes and 56 seconds, surpassing Rogie Vachon. He has also become the first Los Angeles King to earn three consecutive shutouts, and is the first in the NHL to do it since Steve Mason of the Columbus Blue Jackets accomplished the feat in December of 2008.
Los Angeles is streaking and has now won four in a row and is 5-1-1 on the season. Dallas had come into the game riding a five-game winning streak, but could not overcome Quick’s presence in the net.
The Kings will stay at home and face New Jersey on Tuesday. Dallas will finish up their four-game road trip on the same day in Phoenix.
