NHL Buzz: Thursday, July 15
I am just going to dive into the rumors, here are some rumors I have heard in the last 24 hours.
The Predators are looking for a backup goalie for Pekka Rinne. I have heard several names come up including Marty Turco, Yann Danis, and even Kevin Weekes.
Nothing new on the Gagne front, as most teams are still waiting for Kovalchuk to sign.
I have read several reports over the past few days suggesting that Nikolai Zherdev will be playing with Mike Richards in October.
Capitals GM George McPhee has confirmed that they are done with free agency, but he did not confirm they are done trading. I have seen Alex Semin’s name come up several times.
Alex Frolov will make his decision on what team he will play for in the next 10 days.
Patrik Elias has stated that he would love to play with Petr Sykora again, as he does plan on playing in the NHL this season.
Brian Burke are still looking for a top-six forward, and rumored names are Mike Ribeiro, Ryan Clowe and Simon Gagne.
