Niklas Kronwall Gets a New Deal with the Detroit Red Wings: His Best Hits so Far
Niklas Kronwall of the Detroit Red Wings has been given a seven-year contract extension worth $33.25 million according to several sources. While his positional play continues to improve, we all love Kronwall for his hits.
So what better way to celebrate a seven-year extension than by taking a look at No. 55′s biggest, most bonecrushing hits?
Quite frankly, there isn’t one.
Kronwall has evolved from a one-trick pony to a dependable blue-line presence in Detroit. With the impending (doom) departure of Nicklas Lidstrom, Kronwall has seemingly realized his top-end potential.
He no longer pinches just to make the big hit—but he has still flattened plenty of foes while patrolling the defensive zone for the Red Wings.
